If you like quesadillas but hate the mess involved in making them at home in a frying pan, George Foreman Quesadilla Maker
to the rescue!
Have you attempted to make a quesadilla in a frying pan but ended up burning one side and dumping half the fillings out when you tried to flip it over? That’s usually how my quesadilla cooking attempts went down. Then a friend gave us the George Foreman Quesadilla Maker when we moved into our first house and it changed our lives. For real!

What We Love About Our GF GFQ001 Quesadilla Maker
I hate to cook, but love to eat. Who doesn’t, right? Well, the GF Quesadilla Maker is a lazy chef’s dream. We don’t have a big kitchen so it’s nice that it is pretty compact and can be stored vertically. This saves cabinet space, of which we don’t have much of.
Our new little red friend comes with 10 inch plates, so it fits standard sized tortillas but you can use the smaller ones in it, too.
The deep dish pockets help seal the quesadilla closed and is roomy enough so you can stuff it full of your favorite ingredients.
It’s very easy to use. Plug it in, let it preheat, which it does rapidly, and the indicator light tells you when you are good to go for quesadilla making.
I recommend you follow the tips and suggestions that are in the little information booklet that comes with it. Brushing some oil on the non-stick grill plates gives your tortillas a nice crispy texture.
Once you assemble the quesadilla on a plate, transfer it to the hot GF and in five to seven minutes-tah dah!-you have a hot delicious quesadilla with very little mess. It even marks the cut lines on the tortillas!
Since you don’t have to flip the quesadilla you don’t risk dumping the contents and even if some leaks out, the non-stick plates wipe clean pretty easily.

You can easily heat up a tortilla to make a soft taco or reheat a pancake or waffle for breakfast on this thing, too. I have even made toasted cheese sandwiches in it and they turned out perfectly.
One of our favorite desserts is to brush butter on one side of each tortilla and spread a generous amount of chocolate hazelnut butter on one tortilla. Top that with banana slices and then cover with the other tortilla. Grill on your GF Quesadilla Maker for about five minutes and dessert is done!
A chocolate banana quesadilla with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzled with warm caramel sauce is a little slice of heaven on earth. A peanut butter, banana and honey quesadilla is easy to make and delicious, too.

The Definitive George Foreman Quesadilla Maker Review
Probably the highest rating we've given any GF product to date. Why? We are lazy cooks... and the GF Quesadilla Maker is made for lazy cooks! HUGE yay from us... (oh, did we mention we simply love the design?)
Follow the instructions in the enclosed booklet and you will probably always have a great experience with your George Foreman Quesadilla Maker. I do offer the following additional advice, though:
- Always use a potholder to open the quesadilla maker after it is preheated or you will burn your fingers.
- Let the grill plates cool completely before you attempt to wipe them clean or you can scorch the paper towel and make a mess.
- The cord is short, so a good extension cord would make it more portable (we take ours to my parents’ house or parties and make fresh quesadillas on site!)
The smaller you dice up the vegetables and meat the better. The edges will seal more tightly than if you stuff it with large chunks. Also, don’t get carried away with the cheese. Finely shredded and a light layer first, then the rest of your fillings and another light layer of cheese makes for great quesadillas.
Once you start cooking with your George Foreman Quesadilla Maker you will wonder how you ever survived without it!
